And still she waits...
He went away so many years ago; off to war - "the great war to end all wars". Her priviledged young man was so full of life and vitality. He and all the others like him who wanted to be like Teddy. To feel the thrill of battle and to show courage under fire. "Defeat the Kaiser and his Huns!" was their battle cry.
To be married at wars end was the plan, but "missing in action" was what she was told. Many years have passed and now all she can do is wait, hope, and love.
